About Polya

Why Polya exists

Most math and physics prep is passive. You watch a video, read a solution, tell yourself you understand it — and then freeze when the actual problem is in front of you.

Polya is different. You solve. You get stuck. You think harder. You get it.

That's the only way it works.

The method

Polya is named after György Pólya — a Hungarian mathematician who believed that problem-solving is a skill, not a talent. His 1945 book How to Solve It laid out a simple framework:

  1. Understand the problem
  2. Make a plan
  3. Execute the plan
  4. Look back

That's still the best advice anyone has ever given about mathematics. We built a platform around it.
